Recreación de uno de los frisos decorativos de los Palacios Nazaríes con imbricaciones de motivos vegetales de ataurique, al que se le ha añadido el motivo del fruto de la granada en el centro. Arranca con motivos de veneras a ambos lados y destacando en el centro se puede leer texto árabe con letras tipo cúficas ́Afiya b ̄kiya, Salud perpetua.

Localización: Arco de entrada a la Sala de Abencerrajes. Alhambra. Cuenta la leyenda que estos versos fueron testigos de la matanza de la familia granadina de los Abencerrajes por orden del sultán Muhammad X el Cojo, siendo decapitados en la fuente central.
A recreation of one of the decorative friezes of the Nasrid Palaces with “ataurique” vegetal motifs in relief. Centrally there is a relief of a pomegranate motif. There are scallop motifs on either side of the piece which draw attention to the epigraphic decoration in the center wherein you can read the Arabic text with kufic letters, ” Afiya b kiya, Salud perpetua”.

Legend has it that these pieces of decorative plasterwork witnessed the massacre of the Abencerrajes family of Granada, by order of Sultan Muhammad X the Lame. The family were allegedly beheaded at the central fountain, near where this design is located.
